There is a wide range of improvements done to make the series more competitive. Here are the things you need to know about the car. The engine lineup is one of those aspects that the carmaker is really concerned with. Since it is very bulky, a potent power plant is required to move the car. As a full-size vehicle, functionality should come first. Well, the car is still very functional after all these years. It still does it like the first time. The interior is filled with useful controls. They are not only useful, but the placement is perfect and provides easy access.

The space is ample for both passengers and luggage. If you always carry a lot of stuff anywhere you go, there is enough space for stowing maps, CDs, cupholders, and other items. There are 3 different variants in the lineup and they have unique nameplates, which are 1500, 2500 and 3500. There are four different engines across models. If the base does not feel powerful enough, you can choose another with a bigger engine. The engines are all-wheel-drive. Here are the engine choices. The 1500 has a 5.3-liter v8 under the hood. It unleashes 310 hp and 334 lb-ft of torque. That amount of power is average, but still lively. It comes with rear-wheel-drive as a standard.

Meanwhile, for those who want an all-wheel drive system, they can since it is available as an optional addition. There is only one transmission provided, a four-speed automatic. This model has an ample space and it can accommodate 8 people all at once. There are two trim levels. If you want the entry-level, then go for the LS as it is the base. It packs all the basic features, plus Onstar with navigation, front air conditioning, power locks, vinyl seats, and much more.

Will you set a bigger budget to get one? If so, then you can pick out of an upper trim level. The mid-entry level is the 2500. It packs up a better power plant, which is a 4.8-liter v8. Interestingly enough, though this one is considered mid-level, the power production is below the previous variant. It is only capable of producing 280 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The team-up with a six-speed transmission results in a powerful performance. Yes, some think that the performance is quite lively. For top-of-the-line performance, you can look up high to its top-level, which is the 3500. With a 6.0-liter v8 that produces 324 horsepower, it can run fast and feel more powerful than others.
