2015 Dodge Journey Crossover Review, Performance, Features
If you are on the lookout for a nice ride, we can recommend the 2015 Dodge Journey for you. It has all the things that make it a perfect family car. It can seat up many passengers. It can actually seat up to 7 people. Well, the series is basically a crossover, so the size should be bigger to suit the class it is in. Yes, for those who are looking for a perfect family car, it is worth-considering. There are many things we can talk about the new generation. The interior is flawless. It is one of the strongest points. The new generation comes with a few engine choices, just stay away from the small engines if you do not want lackluster performance.

One of the best picks would be the Pentastar V6 option. It feels powerful enough to propel the car. First thing first, do not pay attention to the interior details because there is not much to see there. The upcoming release will undergo subtle tweaks. However, it is a far cry from what you could see before. We like that the updates still make the series look very appealing. Yes, it requires serious attention and suspension revisions to win the fans back.
Gone are the days when the interior was full of rubbermaid. It is ditched in favor of a very stylish dashboard. The interior is commodious. It can basically carry 5 people. The two additional seats are only for kids. The three-spoke steering wheel feels nice to handle and it works seamlessly. If you have been anticipating its cargo detail, it is commodious enough for storing 39.6 cubic feet of luggage. There are many things that please the eye. The Uconnect Access Infotainment System is added. The public has spoken that it has a user-friendly interface. Also, you will see a 8.4-inch touchscreen. The display is bigger than what we usually see.
2015 Dodge Journey performance
Everything is put perfectly in place, but we find the knobs and buttons are too much. They can take away some of them, though. Speaking of the performance, the car comes with quite decent power. There goes a 2.4-liter four-cylinder mounted under the hood. This engine is capable of spewing out 173 hp and 166 lb-ft of torque. The 4-speed automatic transmission appears again on the new series. The power is not that good to begin with, the poor gas mileage only makes things worse. Usually, we expect good fuel economy from a family car. It falls short in this department, rated at 19/25 mpg, city / highway. It kind of takes away the appeal.
2015 Dodge Journey trim levels
As said before, we can not deny that the base produces lukewarm power, but there are stronger options for those who are really bothered by the base engine’s capability. There are a few alternatives to the anemic base engine, one of which is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. It produces 283 hp and 260 lb-ft. Then again, the new engine does not really solve the fuel economy issue. The new engine does not literally improve its gas mileage. It is only accountable for the greater power output, while it returns similar mpg ratings, which are 17/25 mpg. There are a couple of trim levels provided. They are Crossroad, Limited, SE, SXT, And R / T.
